Area C News

The past 14 months have been extremely busy and productive. This rest of this year, we are looking at finalizing a generous offer from the Reclamation Dyking Society. It has made a piece of property available for the West Creston Fire Society with a 100-year lease for $1.00. This generous offer will allow for the fire society to operate out of a functional Fire Hall and we will continue to move forward.

There is a new Rural Policing Unit in the works and it’s slowing coming to fruition. This means there will be five dedicated police officers for the rural areas.

Road maintenance and repair will continue in 2010 in the West Creston Area. YRB is committed to fulfilling their mandate to supply great service.
We will continue to pursue and ensure that safety and health services are a high priority for all residents in the Creston Valley.
